The fundament! Foundation The 24V power cable is connected to the transformer of your choice (36W, 52W or 100W) and this brings the current to the fixtures. We also call these cables the foundation of the 24 Volt cable system. Connection Because there is no chance of a dangerous electric shock, the 24V power cable is safe and easy to install yourself. The 24V power cables are available in various lengths, from 1 to 25 meters. They can be 'looped through' so that you can provide a surface of up to 300 meters with light! The two-core cable has 2 connectors (connections), 1 male and 1 female, which means that incorrect connection is impossible. With each connection, a new transition is created and therefore transfer resistance. In order to be able to handle larger installations, the connectors are constructed in such a way that the transfer resistance is minimal and flashing lights are avoided! The 24V power cable has a core thickness of >1.0 mm, is UV-resistant and waterproof (IP 68). No risk of shock The cables do not need to be buried at a depth of 60 cm, because there is no risk of a dangerous electric shock. However, if the cables are to be laid under a lawn, a depth of 15 cm is recommended. For a (vegetable) garden where digging is to be done, we recommend a depth of approximately 40 cm.
