At Hout Vandaag we sell Ayous cladding, among other things. This is made from thermally modified Ayous and after modification falls into durability class 1 - 2. It is a very durable type of wood that will last up to 25 years.
Ayous is a very economical hardwood that is virtually inert. It is a soft wood so be careful during installation for bumps and scratches. To maintain the color, you can easily paint or stain the Ayous cladding. Otherwise it will turn a nice even gray after about 10 weeks.
