How to lay wooden garden tiles?
For laying the wooden garden tiles / terrace tiles, it is recommended to use wooden base beams that do not rest directly on the ground. The deck boards can be screwed to these. With a substrate of soil or sand, garden tiles are often used with rubber supports on top that support the beams. You can also use adjustable plastic floor supports. This prevents the wood from standing in water and rotting prematurely. By the way, it is also advisable to place root cloth over the soil or sand before you get started. This is obviously intended to inhibit the growth of weeds.
For hard surfaces (e.g. balconies), only the rubber supports are sufficient to place the beams on which the wooden garden tiles can then be screwed.
This creates a sturdy construction that you can enjoy for a long time and with minimal wood rot.
Maintenance of your wooden garden tiles / terrace tiles
If you want the most durable solution, you should choose hardwood decking tiles. But whether you choose pine or hardwood, it's always advisable to oil or stain your garden tiles annually. This will allow you to enjoy your landscaped wooden deck quite a bit longer and the color will also be better preserved.
