What is Red Class Wood?

Red Class Wood is certified softwood that gets the color and durability of Douglas Wood through special ecological treatment - impregnation.

The advantages of Red Class Wood:

Longer color retention: Whereas Douglas wood discolors relatively quickly, Red Class Wood is designed to retain color up to 4x longer. For this you can keep the same perception for a long time, something that is often not possible with other types of wood.

More durable wood: When Red Class Wood has had no ground contact before processing, it is more durable than other types of wood. The unique processing makes the wood more resistant to weather conditions than other species.

PEFC & EUTR approved wood: Of course, Red Class Wood complies with various labels. For example, the wood is harvested in sustainable forests.

Planed after drying: Red Class Wood is first dried completely artificially, after which the wood is planed to the right size. This creates a completely smooth surface. This does not happen with Douglas wood, with the result that the end result often becomes less beautiful than with planed parts.

Selected wood: During production, Red Class Wood is thoroughly checked. Wood with many knots is filtered out. Wood that is knot-resistant is also selected. In this way, only the best wood becomes Red Class Wood.
