The Robinia decking board derives its origin from the most robust European wood, which has remained completely free of thermal and chemical treatments. For outdoor applications such as patios and decking, robinia provides an excellent alternative to tropical hardwoods. Similar to chestnut and oak, it is characterized by a tight grain and a pleasant yellow to greenish yellow coloration, but is distinguished by considerable durability. The wood quickly develops a warm golden-brown patina and transforms to a silver-gray hue over time. With a guaranteed lifespan of at least 25 years, and thanks to finger-welding of the plank, concerns about warping are unfounded.
